The content team is responsible for creating awesome content—in a variety of forms and formats—designed to engage prospects and users at all stages of the funnel.  The content program manager will work cross-functionally to drive planning and promotion, ultimately helping to ensure final projects meet business objectives. 


The ideal candidate has a passion for the written word, functional knowledge of SEO, experience with CMS and the instincts to optimize content using analytics as the guiding, directional force.  While the ability to work cross functionally (Product, Design, Category, Analytics & Conversion) is a must, so too is the ability to effectively work with the high-performance, distributed team of freelance contributors who support the Content team.  Enterprise and B2B marketing experience a plus.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business owners across the organization to derive needs, work with the content director to prioritize approved projects.
  • Create the deliverables roadmap to ensure a continuous pipeline of assets for online and offline publishing.
  • Manage milestones—content production, development and delivery—with the remote team.
  • Review and edit deliverables to meet brand guidelines, reinforcing the value proposition, adhering to voice and tone.
  • Drive the distribution and promotion strategy to ensure the right content is seen by the target audience.  Distribution includes collaborating with the email team to drive subscriptions and prospect nurturing through this valuable channel.

What it takes to catch our eye:

  • 3+ years of solid online, digital experience with content a “must have” for this role
  • Experience managing marketing programs: email, promotions, content etc.
  • Knowledge of SEO: how it works and how to optimize content 

How to really knock our socks off:

  • Knowledgeable in topic development, editorial and publishing 
  • Understands how SEO intersects and connects with content.  Includes SEO components such as keywords, metas, inter-linking and how these all impact search visibility 
  • Experience with Wordpress, JIRA, Google Analytics
  • Communication skills that transcend the medium:  in-person, video, email or chat
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and the broader distributed content team (remote talent)
  • Familiar with digital content tools:  CMS, Analytics, SEO, hangouts
  • Culture carrier with a work hard/play hard mentality who inspires the team to excel
